The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), pursued by limiting data to what is necessary. The technical data required for the connection are essential to display the page.

Web server access and error logs are retained by the provider for at least 7 days and subsequently overwritten or deleted automatically according to the service’s log rotation system. No profiling or automated decisions affecting data subjects are carried out.

The Hosting Starter service for this website is active with Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland, acting as a data processor for services provided on behalf of the controller under the applicable data processing agreement. Data may be accessed by authorised parties needed for technical operations and by authorities where required by law.

Switzerland benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR. Processing on behalf of the controller is governed by a personal data processing agreement with Infomaniak. The provider’s DPA requires any subprocessors to operate within the scope of the services and be identified in the specific terms or the provider’s privacy notice; it also governs safeguards for any international data transfers.

The current page configuration does not use cookies, visitor analytics, profiling or embedded external content. Links to LinkedIn and the provider’s documentation open external services only when followed; those services are governed by their respective privacy notices.

This configuration does not require a cookie consent banner. This notice will be updated if new features introduce cookies or other tracking tools; prior consent, with the ability to refuse and withdraw it, will be requested where necessary.

When you email the controller, you voluntarily provide your address and the information in your message, used to handle and reply to your enquiry. For ordinary correspondence, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in managing communications; Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to pre-contractual requests where relevant.

Providing these data is optional, but a contact address is needed to reply. Messages are not used for marketing. The info@renzochiostri.com mailbox is active and managed by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. In the mailbox managed by the controller, irrelevant messages are normally deleted on the day they are received; other messages are kept for a maximum of 3 years from receipt, subject to specific legal obligations or documented needs to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Please do not send sensitive information that is not needed.

Subject to the conditions and limits of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority.
